Story: Inspired by rival knights, in love with the same woman - one knight tempted to betray his best friend, the other, determined to remain honorable. Pellas and Gawain are brothers in arms who fall in love with the same fair maiden, Arcade. When Pellas discovers his friend in a tryst with Arcade, he raises his sword - but cannot strike so abandons his weapon. In seeing the sword Gawain recognizes his sense of righteousness and recognises his wrong doing. Gawain convinces Arcade to stay with Pellas - he was the first to win her favor.
